I was born and raised in Kenosha, the youngest of 9 children. My dad
was an inspector at American Motors, my mom was a nurse at St. Catherine's
Hospital. I attended local schools, graduating from Bradford High
School in 1990. After High School I attended University of Wisconsin -
Madison, graduating in 1995 with degrees in Political Science, History, and
History of Culture. I worked in the computer industry for the next 6
years. In 1998 I married Jammie, and together we have 2 beautiful
children. In 2001 I returned to school, attending Indiana University
to obtain my teacher certification. My family and I moved back to
Kenosha, bought the house my grandfather had built in Forest Park in 1938,
and settled down in the city that has always been our home. My wife
and I work at Tremper High School as teachers, our children attended Forest
Park Elementary School and currently are enrolled at Roosevelt Elementary
School. As a taxpayer I look to the city to be accountable to the
public in providing quality services, police, fire, parks, sanitation and
water. I expect departments to be responsive to the needs of the
community and to provide equitable maintenance of infrastructure including
roads and managed growth and development. The assets that past
generations have handed down to us need to be maintained and protected,
including our parks, freely accessible lakefront, and tree lined streets.
Kenosha was the city I was fortunate enough to be raised in, and it is the
community I choose to raise my children in. I commit to serve it, and
you for the benefit of my family, my fellow citizens, and future
generations.
