Happy Halloween

Thanks to all the people who I met this Sunday handing out Treats. I appreciate your kind words and encouragement. I hope to see you out in the neighborhood again as I walk the district to say hello and discuss issues facing Kenosha.

Website Updates

Well the Michael Orth for Alderman website (http://www.michaelorth.com/) is starting to take shape. I've added some more text and graphics. Please offer feedback on the site. This week I'll be in the neighborhood listening to your ideas about Kenosha city government. I hope to plan a fundraiser in the near future, before the holiday season begins, so keep posted.

Officially Registered

I filed my state campaign forms and am now an official registered candidate. Now the real work begins. I'll start walking the district in the coming days to introduce myself as a candidate. I've already told most of my immediate neighbors to great enthusiasm and support. At the beginning of this campaign I feel it necessary to thank my family, Jammie, my wife and my kids Renata and Harry for their support and commitment to help me run for office. Also I need to thank Sally Heideman, who has agreed to be my treasurer. 2008 is going to be a year of great change in Kenosha, with the spring races for Alderman, but even more so because of the mayoral race. I hope, with your support, to be part of that positive change to help continue to move our great city of Kenosha forward.
